Packet Planet — Support

Last updated: 22 August 2026

Packet Planet is a one-person strategy game about growing a cloud infrastructure empire across a world map. This page is its support home. App Store Connect requires a working support URL, and this is it.

We are a very small operation, so please allow a few days for a reply. Bug reports genuinely help — most of what gets fixed comes from players writing in.

Reporting a bug

The more of this you can include, the faster it gets fixed:

Purchases

What the purchase includes

Packet Planet is free to download and includes Startup mode in full — the whole world map, the whole upgrade tree, the tutorial, every overlay and stats view, and no ads.

The Full Game unlock is a single one-time purchase that adds three more modes: Global Backbone, AI Labs, and Streaming World. There is no subscription, no consumable currency, and no second purchase — this is the only thing the game sells.

I bought the Full Game but my modes are locked

Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. This asks the App Store what you own and re-applies it. It is the correct fix after:

If Restore Purchases does not unlock the modes:

  1. Check you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. A purchase belongs to an Apple Account, not to a device.
  2. Check your internet connection — restoring needs one, though playing does not.
  3. Write to hara.applications@gmail.com with your device, iOS version, and app version.

Family Sharing

The Full Game unlock supports Family Sharing, so one purchase covers your Apple family group. Other members may need to tap Restore Purchases once.

If a family member leaves the group, or the organiser's payment method fails, Apple can withdraw the shared entitlement. The game will not lock you out immediately when that happens — there is a two-week grace period, so an in-progress run is never cut short by a billing hiccup.

Refunds

We cannot issue refunds; all purchases go through Apple, and only Apple can refund them. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Saved games and records

Your run is saved automatically when you leave the app, and resumes where you left off. There is one saved run at a time — starting a new run replaces it.

Personal bests are stored per mode and difficulty, on your device.

Everything is stored locally. There is no cloud save and no account, which means saves and records do not transfer between devices, and deleting the app deletes them. Your purchase is safe either way — it lives with your Apple Account and comes back via Restore Purchases.

Playing offline

The game is fully playable with no internet connection. A connection is only needed to make or restore a purchase.

Accessibility

Settings offers:

If something is hard to read or hard to reach, please tell us — that feedback is specific and actionable, and it is the kind we can act on quickly.

Privacy

See the Privacy Policy. In short: no accounts, no ads, no tracking across other apps, and nothing sent to us at all — the game has no analytics and no crash reporting, and the only server it talks to is the App Store, to sell or restore the one purchase.

Frequently asked

Is there a way to play the paid modes before buying?
No. Locked modes stay selectable in the mode picker so you can read each one's goal and description before deciding, but they are not playable until unlocked.

Will my progress carry over between runs?
No — there is no meta-progression to unlock. Every run starts from the same position; what carries over is your personal best and what you have learned.

How long is a game?
Startup runs about 25–30 minutes. The paid modes run roughly 30–45 minutes, depending on the mode and how you play.

Is there an Android or desktop version?
Not today. iPhone and iPad are the launch platforms.
